The Great Controversy Making Connections

I'm reading the book "The Great Controversy"
 by Ellen G. White.er
I finished reading chapters 1-3. There was this part in chapter 1 that talked about how even though Israelites rejected God's messenger God still told them that he is merciful. I just really like the thought that even though the Israelites did a lot of terrible things, God still loves them. He still forgives them. Same goes with us non Israelites, God still loves us and still forgives us even though we always sin and we do terrible things.
I just thought that God is very forgiving and merciful. He forgives everyone even though of all their countless sins. I wish that I could be like God in terms of being forgiving. It is sometimes hard for me to forgive someone even though of their little mistakes but God is different. No matter how sinful we are and dirty we are he still forgives us. I want to be forgiving like God.

Dahveed

I've known the story of David my whole life. I read a lot of different versions of this story. But there's something different with "Dahveed". It's really detailed and you could feel more about the story.
I reached the part of the book where Dahveed goes against Goliath. While I was reading that part, I thought of me in the future. Someday we will be punished tortured and killed because of our faith.  Will I be as strong and brave like David and stand courageously or not. It is really easy to say that I will because it still not happening but what if that time comes.
We have to spend more time with God. We have to pray and read the bible. God is bigger than any problems. He will protect us. If we'll die because of our faith, don't worry. Remember God's plan of Salvation. As the saying goes "It is better to die then live, than live than die".

DAHVEED 1

I'm reading the book Dahveed.

It's basically the story of David from the bible. David and her mother are really poor in this story, that his mother had to sold theirselves as slaves. David met Ruth. They are in the same family clan.  Ruth wants them to stay with her but again David's mother already sold theirselves. Ruth asked Jesse to buy them again.
I was thinking if Jesse will really buy them back. Because he said he have to pay more than David and his mother were sold. But in the next pages Jesse really bought them. He was grumbling about it though.
Dahveed and his mother can live with Ruth now. They will work for her. They will be part of the family clan now. They both can live and easy life now.

Overboard

I just finished reading "Overboard" by Elizabeth Fama.
It talks about Emily who boards an overcrowded ferry. The ferry sinks and she was surrounded by panicking people. She swims away from the people and meets Isman in a life vest. Together they  try to survive.
In the last part of the book the both of them tries to swim towards an island, so that the boat could see them. Isman  is having a hard time swimming. He told her to just let go of him and swim to the shore. Emily didn't like the idea, but Isman told her to go to the boat then look for him. She finally agrees. At the boat, Emily told a big man about Isman then she fell asleep. When she woke up, she finds Isman laying beside her.
The last part where Emily sees Isman again really touched me. It's like two friends reunited again after many years. I imagined myself as Emily. I would be the happiest person in the whole world if that ever happened to me. They were reunited again and in a place where they're safe now.
