#18 The 5th Wave

This week, I finished reading "The 5th Wave" by Ricky Yancey. I have a lays wanted to read this book. I've heard a lot of good things about this book. People recommended it. It's also going to be a major notion picture next year.
For this week's blog post, I am going to write a "Asking Questions and Wondering" post.

Q: When I watched the trailer of the book, Cassie is played by Chloe Mortez. Chloe is 18 years old, so I was wondering, how old is Cassie in the book?
A:Cassie the main protagonist that is played by Chloe Mortez is 16 years old.
Q: In the first part of the book, I was wondering where Cassie's brother is. Becayuse in the trailer, it showed that Cassie was running away with her brother.
A: Cassie's brother Sammy was taken to "Camp Haven".
Q: I knew from the beginning that something is wrong with "Camp Haven". It seemed kinda off. I was always thinking that their camp seemed to be too good to be true. I really thought that the kids are going to go through something hard. They're not going to be just eating gummy bears the whole day. I had two answers in my mind. The first one is that the kids would be the "hosts" of the Others (I know, I have a weird imagination.).Second, that they would be trained to be soldiers to go against the Others.
A:The healthy kids were trained to be soldiers. Even as young as 7 years old, as long as the people running the camp see a potential in you, they train you.
Q: In the camp, they separated the healthy kids and the sick kids.  I was wondering what they did to them. Again, I had two answers in my mind.
A:  I thought that they probably killed the "sick" kids. I was right, they killed them. They killed Megan who was considered as a "sick" kid. The book might not have said it, but based on the discoveries made by the other characters of the book, it proved it.

Making Connections #17

This week, I finished reading the series .
It's a really good book.  I really enjoyed reading it and was saddened when I finished it.
This week I am writing a "Making Connections" type blog post.
Selkie the protagonist has a best friend name Kelsey. She never really thought that her best friend Kelsey would be with her through her rough times. She thought that Kelsey is just with her doing good times and bad times, but she was wrong. Kelsey risked her life to save Selkie. Kelsey helped Selkie with her tasks even though it was risky.
I have never been in a life threatening situation with my best friend Anjela, but I could certainly say that my best friend Anjela is like Kelsey. She has been with me through my rough times. She didn't leave me alone through my bad times, but instead stayed by my side, cheered me up and helped me.. Good times and bad times, she was with me. She helped me through bad times and good times.            Our friendship isn't perfect just like any others. There are small misunderstanding, but we never let it worsen. We always make a way to make up. We can't hold grudges on each other for so long-probably the longest was a week. It's safe to say that I have the bestest of best friends and I a very thankful for that.

Week 16 Pure emotions Three Times lucky.

This week I'm reading the book "Three Times lucky" by Sheila Turnage and for blog post, I'm going to do Pure Emotions.
Mo, the main protagonist of the book is technically adopted. Colonel found her washed away by the water and took care of raised her as his won together with Miss Lana. Though she is happy, she can't help but feel lonely. She always thinks as an outside and someone not part of her "family" or even the county. I am certain that I am not adopted , but at times I just can't help feeling like an outsider in my family even with my friends. I feel like I don't belong with them, like I shouldn't be friends with them or I'm just an extra in the family. I have never felt like I belonged somewhere. I've always felt like an outsider. I can never fit in and that I'm different just like Mo. She lives in the town and  is a part of it, but still some people look at her as an outcast.
